WH-Core is the core-shell mixed-mode chromatography resin series which consists of “core” with adsorption function and “shell” without adsorption capacity with exclusion function. The matrix is highly cross-linked agarose, which is biocompatible, has very low non-specific adsorption, and is physically/chemically stable to maintain a high loading capacity of impurities in samples with a certain salt concentration.
The exclusion molecular weights of WH-Core 400 and WH-Core 700 are 400 kDa and 700 kDa, respectively, which are able to exclude large particles of bioactive molecules such as viruses, plasmids, exosomes, etc. from entering the microspheres, whereas small molecule impurities, such as HCP, BSA, pigments, nucleic acid fragments and endotoxins, etc., are allowed to enter into the microspheres, and are adsorbed by octylamine ligands inside the microspheres, thus realising the Separation and purification of biologically active molecules.
